Glowing Padre Pio statue at Holy Love shrine
Photos/story kindly donated by Andrew Barrett. March 6, 2004 - Holy love is set on 80 some acres of land. At the back of these 80 acres is a small shrine to Padre Pio. At this time in my life I was praying heavily in discerning Gods call in my life. I decided weeks earlier that I was going to ask for Padre Pios guidance. I was going to commit myself to praying the rosary from the heart, trusting his promise that anyone that does so under the blue army of Fatima's direction he would take as his spiritual child. That day was pretty miserable as far as weather goes. It had been raining all day, the sky was gray and it was just a typical cold late fall day in Ohio. Everyone on the grounds seemed to be staying mostly inside. I didn't have an umbrella with me but I decided to take the long walk all the way to the back of the shrine to spend some time in prayer in front of my Spiritual fathers shrine. By the time I arrived I was quite muddy and quite wet. I stayed and prayed a rosary, offering up all the weather and circumstances for further discernment. As I prayed I couldn't help but feel his presence all around, and our lady's as well. I took a picture just to capture the feel of the day and what resulted was the following photograph. Also, many people when seeing the image notice first the statue but secondly the head of what they discern to be our lady.
