Weeping statue of Our Lady of Lourdes

On February 16, 1996 this statue was first observed to be weeping tears of blood. These two photos of the same statue were taken on different days. They are of a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes located in the convent of Corpus Christi, which belongs to an order of cloistered nuns in Diego Martin, Trinidad.

It has been weeping since then, but not continuously. The blood has been analyzed and found to be human blood. The photo on the left was taken first and the one on the right several days later. The position of the hands and head are clearly different in the two photos, even allowing for a slightly different camera angle from one to the other. The eye color is also different but not distinct enough to be seen on the computer. The color of the eyes on the left photo are brown and on the right they are blue.
